I take photos of just about anything, but it’s always people that I’ve been most fascinated with. My photography is a good reflection of who I am and I try to infuse joy and honesty into my work. I love the process of getting to photograph people I’d never have had the opportunity to meet if it hadn’t been for my camera – my camera and I have been on some great adventures together, both personally and professionally. I work with real people and models seamlessly. I found it hard to limit my work into one or two categories as I enjoy playing with the different genres of photography and how my work fits into them. In a nutshell, my work focuses primarily on portraiture, kids, lifestyle, documentary, and dogs. I especially like uncontrived photography, and always strive to bring people into their comfort zone when I photograph them. I have been incredibly inspired by growing up in Zimbabwe and living in Cape Town for the past 15 years – my work, love of bold colour, and texture have been influenced by the time I’ve spent in Africa.
I have been commissioned by leading design and advertising agencies, corporates, editorial, and several local and international NGOs. I have lived in London, Cape Town, and most recently, in Bath, UK.
